So my writing partner Brantley J Brown and I just finished our first script together. I had written the short film Del Obispo Road – a horror short – and Brantley helped me adapt it into a feature film script. Actor and producer Edward Coupland will star as the lead, Ryan.
When Ryan’s sister goes missing in 1985, he is plagued by the memory of someone – or something – that he felt was responsible for her disappearance. Twenty years later he still can’t forget that night and the weight of that memory begins to push him to madness. When he starts to see his sister again, Ryan starts to search for answers as to why his sister vanished, and if the dreams that haunt him are real.
This story is based on a terrifying event shared to me by Rochelle Robinson.
We did a great interview about this film and script on my podcast Mimosas With Michael. Enjoy!
#tbt to when Dread Central wrote this article for an awesome virtual reality #horror #short I was hired to write. It starred Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and was directed by #YouTuber Jesse Wellens from Prank vs Prank and produced by Blum House and YouTube.

Was asked by model and filmmaker Niko Antonyan to write a script based on an idea he had for a short film. From there ‘Never Forgive Me,’ was born. It was a fun film to write and I am grateful for the opportunity to write something for him to direct. It was also nice to see Rodiney Santiago and Emily Hall act out my words!
The film is now available on Amazon for rent! Please check it out.
Today, in celebration of Earth Day, the Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes had their second annual art show and poetry reading called ‘Art by the Sea with Poetic Expression‘. Yours truly was a feature poet invited to read. I haven’t been an invited poet in over 15 years (if not more.) Attending today felt like coming out of retirement – and I am grateful for my friend Georgia Washington for asking me to be a part of the event.
The weather today was a wonderful 72 degrees with a slight breeze as we saw Catalina Island hiding out in the distant haze. The waves crashed towards as we stood up over the high cliff. It was an amazing inspiring day and I was grateful to be a part of the festivities today!
Also after the reading today I have decided to move forward and being writing my second book. I want to write a book that is full of anthems, that can inspire people and up lift them! That’s why it’s been so hard to write. I want it to be epic!
Check out the video from this amazing day!
Wanted to take this moment and reflect on 2017. Remembering 2016 being so uncertain. So many of our biggest celebrities were passing that it put so many things into perspective going into the new year. 2017 was great though. Yes, we elected a president who seems volatile and offensive, who supports and propagates hate rhetoric – but from there we were able to unite as a country and that is something to be proud of. Yes we have endured a lot of scandal but has revealed many things we need to really look at and change! Which is why we are excited about 2018 and the possibilities it brings forth!
This year we are moving forward with the horror thriller script Axe, written by Michael Coulombe, based on his award winning short Ax. Bringing on producer Taylor Martin from Martinbroz, LLC and wonderful lead actor Adam Huss from Starz ‘Power’ and now iconic horror composer Harry Manfredini from the Friday the 13th franchise just seems to be the perfect combination.
We won 2nd place at the FANtastic Horror Film Festival in San Diego in October and got a wonderful plaque on which to hang on the wall. That motivates us more. And we also want to move forward with our Latina drama ‘You Can Call Me Eve” as well. So hang on 2018 – we are coming for you!
Thank you so much to all of you for the support you have show us. We could not have done it without you.
Finally finished the feature version of the script Axe….I invited over a few of my actor friends, including a few of the actors who are involved in the film. These actors really delivered and the feedback we got from both the actors reading and those in the audience was really good. It seems as if everyone is loving the script. Time to move forward and get this thing produced!

Thank you Queen Malvolia for showcasing my short film Ax, this week in honor of Halloween!
I am excited to announce that short script The Beauty of Death is a finalist in two (2) festivals this October (2017)
The Shiver International Film Festival in Ontario, Canada and the FANtastic Horror Film Festival in San Diego, Ca.
It was a pleasure to be a part of the Sherri Clip show and talk about my start in the film industry. It was fun and delightful to be a part of the show…and I won’t lie…those 30 minutes flew by FAST!
