So week 1 of shooting the web series was a success. Now we just wrapped week 2 and the footage is looking so amazing. This week was more focused on the dramatic elements of the show – but don’t worry, there was still some good tennis stuff – plus a fun party scene out by the pool! This week we had some new actors on set – so our team is definitely growing!
The first week of AD Out went amazingly well. So grateful to have been a part of this fun project. AD Out is a tennis drama written and created by Troy Akin and directed by me.
I was nervous about this project. I mostly write and direct horror and this was a good opportunity to show that I was capable of directing a completely different genre….plus even though Troy will be launching this on his YouTube Channel, his goal is to pitch it as a TV series, so naturally this has to be the best product!
But everyone brought their A game and everything looks amazing. I really do think we will have something truly amazing and fun! Plus this is the first project I have directed so far that has a sponsor: Head Tennis Gear!
We film again this weekend. Stay tuned for more information on this project!
I want to think Michael Haberfelner for taking the time to interview for his blog (re)Search My Trash for the film I directed LOVE ME NOT for Horror House. The questions were great! It was nice to be able to explain my process with you.
I am so excited to announce that my podcast, Mimosas With Michael is now available on iHeartRadio, which is one of the largest distributors for podcasts. I am so grateful for all the support everyone – including our guests – have show this little podcast.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Make sure to go and listen to the latest episode OR catch up one you may not have heard yet!
‘In a dating scene where a swipe of the finger determines someone’s worthiness of love, a few hearts are bound to be broken. For Jenny, heartbreak is all to familiar. Used by countless partners for their own personal gains, her heart has been shattered one too many times…but this is Valentine’s Day, Jenny is going to teach them a lesson…because there is only so much a girl can take before she finally just snaps.’
‘I loved the originality and bizarre horror humor of LOVE ME NOT ’– Sally Kirkland, Oscar Nominated and Golden Globe Winning Actress.
The Latin market is the largest movie going audience yet there are very few movies made with strong Latin actors in leading roles. The team at Horror House is looking to change that by promoting diversity in film both behind and in front of the camera.
